NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Previous experience of working in a cleaning / housekeeping role would be ideal but is not essential as training will be provided.

Working as the Housekeeper / Room Attendant / Cleaner your role is to ensure that all bedrooms, corridors and other assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to a consistently high standard.
As the Housekeeper / Room Attendant / Cleaner you will report to the Head Housekeeper and will complete necessary training and assist other members of the department where necessary.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as Housekeeper / Room Attendant / Cleaner will include:
- Ensure excellent standard of cleanliness is maintained in the designated area
- Vacuum floors in bedrooms, corridors and public areas
- Mop floors and clean service areas
- Clean, sanitise and polish bathroom surfaces - floor and wall tiles, glass, shower screen, basin, bath-tub, toilet seat etc
- Replenish toiletries, tissues, toilet rolls etc
- Change bath-towels where necessary
- Clean and polish brass elements
- Wash up cups, saucers, glasses, kettle, and ashtrays
- Clean kitchenettes, microwave, sink and fridge
- Dust and polish furniture, frames, handles, switches, drawers, shelves, skirting board etc
- Change linen and make beds in departed and stay-on rooms as required
- Take dirty linen to collection area and place in bags
- Ensure all lights and electrical equipment (kettle, TV, hairdryer, air-conditioning) is in good working order. Report any problems
- Report any items in need of dry-cleaning: blankets, duvets, curtains, canopies etc
- Tidy up stay-on rooms observing the privacy and security of guest property
- Spring-clean a number of rooms assigned daily by the Floor Supervisor
- Notify the Floor Supervisor or Head Housekeeper of any change in room status
- Ensure linen cupboards are stocked with clean linen
- Collect and sort dirty linen for collection
- Collect and report lost property following established procedures
- Dispose of rubbish safely
- Replace old magazines with new ones and ensure guest folder and approved promotional materials are placed in guest folder
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment is stored correctly and safely and is in good working order
- Carry out all work causing minimal disturbance to hotel guests and visitors
- Attend any meetings or training sessions or courses as required
- Accept changes or additions in work hours, which are necessary for the maintenance of uninterrupted service to hotel guests
- Follow approved standards of grooming, behaviour and uniform
- Notify the Head Housekeeper of any linen and other stock needs
- Collect and pass guest feedback comment cards to the Floor Supervisor or Head Housekeeper
