Job Duties: As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, inspiring creativity, and maintaining the highest standards of culinary craftsmanship. Your duties will include:

  • Leading and motivating a team of chefs to deliver consistently outstanding dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet or exceed 3AA Rosette standards.
  • Creating innovative menus that reflect our restaurant's culinary ethos, seasonal availability of ingredients, and guest preferences, while balancing creativity with practicality and profitability.
  • Managing kitchen resources, including staffing levels, equipment maintenance, and ingredient procurement, to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and control costs.
  • Training, mentoring, and developing junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house colleagues to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and dining room operations, facilitating exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel environment, with a proven track record of achieving and maintaining 3AA Rosette standards or equivalent.
  • Exceptional culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail, with a passion for using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create memorable dishes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of kitchen professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to kitchen management and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of culinary operations.
