Internal Finance Manager (Accountancy Practice)

The Client:
Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.
The Role:
As a Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage all financial activities within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, reconciliations, and journals.
- Report monthly on various financial and staff performance indicators.
- Manage monthly payroll processing and oversee the company pension scheme.
- Handle quarterly VAT returns and update Life Assurance and Sick Pay policies.
- Assist in the production of annual accounts and budgeting.
- Monitor cash flow and process weekly payment runs.
- Oversee additional client services, such as tax fee protection and accounting software.
- Review and implement changes to financial processes.
- Maintain Xero certification and stay updated with product changes.
- Support the Finance Assistant during peak times and cover their tasks during absences.
- Collaborate with all departments to enhance working practices, processes, and record-keeping.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and meticulous attention to detail.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Working knowledge of Xero; IRIS experience would be beneficial.
