The ONE Group are recruiting for one of Cambridge's research institutions and we are looking for someone with lab or cleanroom experience to take up this interesting position for a Cleanroom Process Technician.
This is a varied role which would suit someone with good knowledge of cleanroom processing equipment and its basic maintenance. The role will also allow you to get involved with working with nanomaterials.
The Role:
- Working within the wider team, taking responsibility for the handling and use of processing equipment
- Undertaking higher risk activities, such as modifications to the gas handling system and resupply
- Assist with building facilities operations, including close monitoring of temperature, water supply, solar energy generation and AV facilities
- Responsibility for storing and cataloguing of equipment
- Processing nanomaterials using various cleanroom-based equipment, in order to maintain a steady production of materials for the research facility
- Training research staff on a variety of procedures and processes used in the facility
- Basic website maintenance to describe facilities available (general IT skills required)
What do you need to apply?
- Good standard of education with a suitable qualification or time-served apprenticeship OR practical experience of micro and nanofabrication of devices in a cleanroom environment
- Knowledge of the relevant procedures of working in a microfabrication clean facility
- Specialist knowledge of microfabrication processes
- Capability of explaining and instructing technical issues and processes
- Experience in handling chemicals, gasses and cleanroom processing equipment
