Head of Property Management

A rare opportunity has arisen within a privately-owned property investment company that dates back 70 years to its establishment in the 1950's.

Now boasting 5,000 units spanning Greater London, with a small portion on the South Coast, there is a continued growth plan for the portfolio based on acquisitions, developments and conversions following a comprehensive asset management plan.

As the Head of Residential Property Management, you will report directly to the Managing Director and Board of Directors. This is a challenging and exciting role for an individual with at least 5 years' experience within a similar role as our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring full compliance across the day to day Property Management Operation
  • Managing the performance of the Property Management team through regular 1:1's and morning meetings
  • Assisting with recruitment and training
  • Ensuring full cooperation with our agreed principles, procedures and systems to ensure client receive an effective property management solution
  • The Head of Property Management should influence a positive result through effective team management, action planning and delivery of the plan
  • Appointment and monitoring of contractors/ organising quotes for repair/maintenance on behalf of landlords and overseeing works
  • Utilising new processes and procedures, to rationalise and implement procedures across both residential and student departments

Within such a heavily regulated and exposed industry, a main priority of the Head of Property Management is to ensure 100% compliance across all business operations within their remit and by all staff under their direct supervision.

This includes:

  • HMO regulations
  • Local licensing conditions
  • Property Safety Testing and Certificates
  • Information Commissioners Office Regulations
  • Required Insurances, Business Laws and Regulations (National, local, general, & those specifically relating to Housing, Sales and Lettings Agents and Landlords)
  • Record Keeping and Adherence to the codes of conduct and standards of membership bodies (NALS, TPO, ARLA, NAEA).

The salary for this role will be in the region of £60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Free secure parking is available at the office.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
