Pay: £350 Per Day Umbrella

Job Summary: As the Head of SEND, you will be at the forefront of creating and implementing strategies that support our students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our vision of inclusive education, where every learner's potential is unlocked.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SEND department with energy and vision.
  • Manage a dedicated team of SEND professionals, driving performance and growth.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of an innovative SEND curriculum.
  • Ensure all programs meet compliance and funding regulations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with parents, carers, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote SEND initiatives and achieve income growth.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data submissions.
  • Ensure the department is always ready for inspections and meets the latest educational standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of SEND provision.
  • Lead on internal audits and quality improvement plans.
  • Efficiently manage the departmental budget, including staffing costs.
  • Align resources with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maximize impact.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in SEND teaching and leadership.
  • Proven track record in curriculum development and staff management.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and funding requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to student success.
