Our client is an extremely successful online fashion retailer who has experienced extraordinary growth since opening their doors and there's no stopping them yet! As the Senior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in their supply chain management. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality materials and services that meet their company's standards. Your expertise in market analysis, supplier relationship management, and cost-saving strategies will be vital in ensuring we maintain our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry developments and potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a buyer role, preferably within the retail/fashion sector
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Relevant buying experience in Menswear accessories or clothing areas is extremely beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
