We are looking for a new Shipping Assistant to work within the offices of a large manufacturing company in the Rugby area.
This is an office-based role working Monday - Friday (sorry no hybrid) and a role where play a part in the shipping of products from the UK to overseas destinations.
You will be following a process, updating paperwork, working with computers, speaking to hauliers, checking shipping lanes, answering the phone, dealing with invoices and escalating any urgent orders to managers.
It's a busy role working within a small, close-knit team and you will be supported from a great senior shipping coordinator.
This is an ongoing temporary contract which could end up going permanent depending on the business moving forward buts it's for at least 8 months.
To be considered - You MUST have.
- Experience of shipping within a freight forwarding company.
- Basic understanding of Incoterms 2020
- Fluent in written / spoken English.
- Strong office skills (using outlook, excel, phone, filing etc).
- An outgoing personality and someone who is easy to get along with.
- A process driven mindset and be someone who can appreciate deadlines.
This role offers you:
- Between £12.82 and £13.33 p/hour (depending on shipping experience).
- 5 hours paid per week.
