Northern Gas Networks have an exciting opportunity for a Support Administrator for our TOTEX Cluster Team with a 12 month fixed term contract located at our Washington depot. We are looking for strong administrator to work within our depot by offering key support to the Planning team.

You will facilitate all planning requirements for job creation, noticing and project closure in relation to our gas sites. This role will see you delivering a first-class service working with internal and external stakeholders, so communication skills are essential!

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to

  • You will be raising projects in our SAP system based on project designs for noticing and commercial requirements
  • You will also be raising, updating and reporting of NRSWA notifications to Highway Authority (or private road owners) within required timescales within SAP / Insight
  • This includes liaising with Planners to ensure all customer notification letters are issued for all works
  • You will have daily discussions with Site Managers to monitor progress of works, update and circulate the daily whereabouts report
  • Producing project files for Site Managers and teams (electronic & paper copies)
  • Monitoring the validity of the project safe dig prints and refresh as required
  • Data capture of project e-packs for mains and services
  • Issuing NRSWA registration details into SAP following project closure
  • All of the above will be alongside general office administration

What we are looking for in our Support Administrator

  • You will be expected to have a strong background in a busy office environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality is essential
  • Be a team player with a 'can do' attitude
  • Experience of working in utilities environment would be advantageous as would SAP/Insight knowledge and knowledge of gas or NRSWA legislation
