Group Strategic Analytics is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

Deutsche Bank Investment banking is one of the leading providers of Electronic Trading solutions globally. Deutsche Bank has implemented a risk and control framework and governance structure to manage operational risk of electronic trading across business, Information Technology (IT), and production support.

You will be joining the central Electronic Trading function which covers risks, controls and business management topics for aspects of electronic trading that are cross business lines. This can be projects in relation to regulatory development or business aspects such as management information (MI) to business management.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assist in designing workflow tools and work with development teams to promote automation and improve efficiency
  • Perform data analysis utilising programming skills and building analytical tools as required
  • Support in testing changes in risk assessment systems and producing business requirements
  • Support the electronic trading stakeholders in their risk assessment activities, identification of gaps and remediation
  • Support the review of electronic trading incidents, material changes and prepare material for discussion on electronic trading forums
  • Manage algorithmic stress testing framework and oversee the implementation of changes to tooling and policy

Your skills and experience

  • Good knowledge of electronic trading and/or risk management frameworks, automated and algorithmic trading including direct electronic access (DEA)
  • Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle associated with electronic trading and associated tooling (Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, GitHub)
  • Background in designing and developing electronic trading solutions, testing, or production support with the ability to assess testing results and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Working experience of developing applications in Python
  • Familiar with Java, C++, Database SQL, KDB Q
  • Solid oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills and providing reports and briefing materials to senior management
