Product Manager - Travel industry

My Swindon based client are seeking a Product Manager to lead their product pipeline, ensuring the delivery of high-quality travel products that meet their strategic goals and KPIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the travel market, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic team to achieve outstanding results.
Day to Day of the role:
- Engage with cruise lines and account managers to ensure product needs are met and targets achieved.
- Act as the product escalation point for trading and attend all key meetings.
- Collaborate with trading, product support, contracting, and marketing teams for timely product handovers.
- Coach and mentor product developers to meet pipeline needs and deliver KPIs.
- Manage country-specific margin and ROI targets.
- Innovate and evolve the product range based on market analysis and trends.
- Pitch new products to the team and senior management with supporting data and rate suggestions.
- Oversee the pipeline planner and monthly product plans, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Lead operational meetings to sign off new packages and oversee the delivery from inception to sales handover.
- Secure exclusive allocations with cruise partners and manage the handover process to operations.
- Stay informed on competitor activity and review the commercial and operational performance of products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A high level of organisational skills and the ability to present product ideas confidently.
- Excellent knowledge of the cruise market and competitor strategies.
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to create and motivate a dynamic team.
- Strong management skills with a focus on mentoring and achieving KPIs.
- Commercially astute with experience in analytics, pricing, negotiating, ROI, and yield management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure.
- Multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for travel and willingness to research various destinations.
- Flexibility to work around business needs as required.
- Experience in product management and the travel market is preferred.
