An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive primary school in Hailsham. Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across all subjects in the Year 6 curriculum.
- Provide targeted support to students to ensure their academic success in preparation for SATs and beyond.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and next steps to enhance learning outcomes.
- Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed about student progress and well-being.
- Lead and contribute to extracurricular activities that support student development outside of the classroom.
Key Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching Year 6 or similar primary year groups.
- A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, including preparation for SATs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
