HR Assistant with bank in London

Our client, a reputable investment bank with offices in 11 countries & over 4,000 employees globally, is looking for a HR Assistant for its London office who will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, payroll processes, and daily HR administrative tasks.

[Key Responsibilities]

(1) Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Assist with recruitment and communicate with agencies and candidates.
  • Support KYE processes and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Schedule interviews and prepare offer letters.

(2) Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Help develop employee relations programs and ensure compliance with SMCR.
  • Promote equality, health, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Address routine employee queries.

(3) Payroll and Benefits

  • Support payroll processes and ensure accurate pay and benefits.
  • Record payroll data, issue tax forms, and answer queries.
  • Assist with benefit administration.

(4) HR Systems Implementation

- Support the implementation of HR, Payroll, and Time & Attendance systems.

(5) Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Assist with the full employee lifecycle, including redundancies and employee relations.
  • Support the TUPE process.
  • Coordinate training and development programs.

(6) Attendance and Punctuality

  • Track attendance and send reminders to late employees.
  • Report attendance issues to the HR Manager.

(7) Administrative Tasks

  • Handle routine HR duties, such as preparing HR documents and organizing events.
  • Provide general support to the HR department.

[Requirements]

(1) Minimum 2 years' relevant HR experience in UK

(2) Experience in bank back-office operations is a plus

(3) Excellent attention to detail

(4) Proficient in MS Excel

(5) Ability to prioritize work effectively

(6) Must be educated to degree level

(7) Knowledge of HR legal requirements preferred

(8) Strong organizational and multitasking skills

[Working conditions]

(1) Location: City of London (Bank area)

(2) Job type: 1 year contract(renewable) & office based

(3) Working hours: 8am~5pm (including 1 hour lunch break)

(4) Annual basic salary: fully negotiable depending on experience

(5) Bonus, pension, life assurance, medical insurance, travel expense, etc.

(6) Annual leave: 20 + Bank Holidays
