Day to day of the role:
- Support the Senior Highways Engineer in conducting highway safety and service inspections.
- Ensure inspections and maintenance are carried out correctly, on time, and to a high standard, using a risk-based approach.
- Programme and manage annual machine and condition surveys, process data to produce Road Condition Indicators, and support the development of the annual Highway Maintenance Schemes Programme.
- Work in a busy operational environment, providing essential services to customers and building effective relationships with partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working within an operational Highways Environment.
- Well-organised, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Solutions and results-focused with a team player attitude.
