OT Cyber Security Engineer | Contract | 6 Months | Outside IR35 | £500-£600p/day
Key Responsibilities:
- Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls to ensure robust protection of OT networks.
- Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability analyses of OT systems.
- Incident Response: Develop and execute incident response plans to address and mitigate security breaches.
- Policy Development: Create and enforce security policies and procedures tailored to OT environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to integrate security measures into system designs and operational processes.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor OT networks for potential threats and maintain security tools and systems.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including NIST, IEC 62443, and other relevant frameworks.
- Training & Awareness: Provide training and support to staff on OT cyber security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in OT cyber security engineering.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, CEH, and other industry-recognized credentials.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network segmentation, and other OT security technologies.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OT protocols (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs) and industrial control systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to security incidents.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
