Job Title: Senior Accounts Assistant come Finance Supervisor, Location Heathrow Position Type: Full-Time, Mon - Fri 9-5.30pm with hybrid working

Reports To: Finance & Payroll Manager

Job Purpose:

The Senior Accounts Assistant /Finance Supervisor will support the Finance Department in the day-to-day management of the company's financial records and transactions. This role involves assisting with the preparation of financial statements, processing invoices, and managing ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and control as well as supervise/develop the Finance Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all invoices received are correctly approved and processed by the Administrator.
  • Correctly produce supplier payment list, approval, and bank processing.
  • Maintaining financial records, including bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • As needed, intercede on requests with difficult customers and/or requests requiring detailed knowledge of the organization's services.
  • Ensure timely execution of all processes and communications to both customers and suppliers.
  • Management of Finance Administrator with focus on clear expectations, feedback, and processes for the Administrator development.
  • Assists in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conducting audits and ensuring the accuracy of financial records in Sage 50 Accounts
  • Managing cash flow by monitoring postings processed in Sage 50 Accounts
  • Reviewing reports, statements, and other documentation to determine if all transactions have been recorded correctly.
  • Handling accounting tasks such as recording business transactions, posting entries to financial records
  • Assist Finance Manager it the month-end close with variance analysis.
  • Assist Finance Manager with the preparation and issue customer invoices & credit notes.
  • Assist Finance Manager with the reconciliation of ticket desk payments accordingly.
  • Assist Finance Manager Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reports as required at month/year end in a timely manner.
  • Any other reasonable management request.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (Desirable).
  • AAT qualification or currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA (desirable).
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level).
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
