An Exciting Opportunity has just become available for a Maths Teacher to work in a Good School located in Bedford , Bedfordshire.

Position: Teacher of Maths

Start Date: September 2024

Duration: 1 to 3 Terms

Salary: £170 - £220 per day

Dunbar Education proudly represents an esteemed Secondary School in Bedford, a town brimming with historical charm and a rich cultural tapestry. We are on the lookout for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join the team starting September 2024. This position offers a minimum of one term with the potential to extend throughout the academic year, and there's even the possibility of permanency based on performance and availability.

As a Maths-trained Secondary Teacher, your focus will be on Key Stage 3 and 4, guiding students through the intricacies of mathematical concepts and problem-solving. Your passion for the subject will inspire students to not only excel academically but also develop a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of mathematics.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Craft and deliver stimulating and rigorous Maths lessons for students in KS3 and KS4
  • Develop and implement effective assessment methods to monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with fellow Maths educators to enhance and refine the Mathematics curriculum
  • Offer support and mentorship to students in their academic and personal development journey
  • Contribute to the school's vibrant community through extracurricular involvement and events as required

About You:

  • Hold UK QTS or be working towards it (or possess another recognized teaching qualification)
  • Possess a degree-level qualification in Mathematics or related field
  • Proficient in teaching Mathematics at both KS3 & KS4 levels
  • Demonstrated strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the intricacies of mathematics
  • Exhibit effective behavior management skills within the classroom setting
  • Previous experience teaching in a UK classroom environment is advantageous
