We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage specific programs or projects within a dynamic production and shipping environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in production planning or shipping administration, who can communicate effectively in English and adhere to safety standards.
Day to day of the role:
- Oversee the planning and coordination of production and shipping activities.
- Utilise computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files.
- Use Microsoft Office applications proficiently to support logistics operations.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform duties in both an office setting and occasionally in a manufacturing plant environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- Three years' experience in a production environment and/or shipping administration.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive and collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with international shipping.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Moderate to high Excel skills, including V/H lookups, pivot tables, index match functions, etc.
Additional Comments:
- The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and requires occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds).
- Personal protective equipment is mandatory in the plant environment.
