Butler Rose are delighted to be working with an exciting Bridgwater based manufacturer who have a current requirement for Buyer to join their growing business to assist with the procurement and quotation of goods and materials to ensure that the operational demands of the company are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior purchasing professional looking to take a step up in their career, or an experienced buyer who is keen to work with a small and dedicated team, in a technical purchasing role. Duties are wide ranging in scope, but include the following:
- To assist in the procurement of goods as specified by the Bill of Materials, ensuring correct quantity, best price and timely delivery.
- To assist in producing quotations against BOMs
- Resolving any delivery or quality issues in an efficient manner to prevent any delays in the delivery of product to our customer or line stoppages.
- Negotiating and building relationships with suppliers.
- Liaising with all departments across the business
- Reporting to the Senior Team
- Ensure that all KPI's are met
To be chosen for the role, you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Analytical, numerically astute, with strong problem solving abilities
- Commercial and financial awareness, with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment
- Able to work well under pressure within tight deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of electronic components
Details
- Salary up to £33,000
- Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday
- 31 days leave (inc Bank Holiday and Christmas shutdown)
