Warehouse Supervisor

Our well established and loyal clients based in Huntingdon are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead their team in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse operations.

This role requires a hands-on, organized leader with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or packaging environment. The successful candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, including stock management, health and safety, team leadership, and quality control, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager to implement and maintain inspection systems, procedures and schedules.
  • Collaborate to produce a daily schedule of Warehouse movements.
  • Arrange the despatch of finished products using the most cost effective means of transport.
  • Responsible for reviewing all raw material and packaging demand, placing orders as required to ensure they are available to satisfy production requirements.
  • Responsible for stock control of raw materials, packaging and finished products.
  • To investigate stock discrepancies, correct the stock levels and implement corrective actions
  • To assist the Warehouse Manager to develop and maintain departmental KPI and produce reports as required for dissemination to operational leadership team.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the level of recyclable materials on site.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining training records for all staff using Forklift Trucks and Powered Pallet Trucks
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining departmental training records. Identify any training needs or gaps and report to the Warehouse Manager.
  • To actively participate in and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Responsible for conducting staff annual appraisals, first level disciplinaries, performance improvements (PIP) and absence reviews.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work across various shift patterns and occasional weekends, as required.

Hours & Pay

09:00 until 17:00 Monday to Friday

£33,000 per annum
