Logistics Assistant

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Assistant to support our logistics department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient and timely operations. This role involves organising and maintaining records, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between customers, surveyors, and site teams.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, answering emails and phone calls.

  • Maintain and organize records of site photos and other documentation.

  • Arrange site appointments ensuring they are scheduled within the allocated time frame.

  • Coordinate with customers and surveyors/teams to find mutually convenient times for appointments

  • Confirm and communicate appointment details to all relevant parties.

  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure clear and timely communication between customers, surveyors, and site teams.

  • Communicate schedules and any changes to the site teams efficiently.

  • Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate any last-minute changes or emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional qualifications in logistics or office administration are a plus.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a logistics or administrative role preferred and basic knowledge of construction industry

  • Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
