Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating forklifts to manage the movement of airfreight cargo within our warehouse. The successful candidate will have prior warehouse and forklift experience and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move airfreight cargo.
- Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure forklifts are in safe working condition.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Perform inventory checks and keep accurate records of cargo movement.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Participate in forklift refresher training and cargo handling training as provided.
Shift Patterns
- 4 on 4 off shift or 5 on 3 off shift pattern.
- Availability for both day and night shifts is required.
- Basic pay: £13.50 per hour for days and £14.50 per hour for nights.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Valid forklift license and experience in operating forklifts.
- Ability to pass a 5-year employment history check.
- Valid DBS check.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days and nights.
