Shipping Clerk

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Warehouse and Distribution team as a Shipping Clerk, based at our European Manufacturing plant in Gravesend, Kent. This role currently operates Mon-Fri (0830-1730).

As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for planning and managing shipments for Moove and its third-party logistics providers.
Responsibilities as a Shipping Clerk are to:
- Scheduling shipments and logistics through Moove's ERP system (SAP4HANA)
- Determining methods and costs of shipping and managing 3PL day to day relationships
- Planning and releasing shipments for pick, pack and dispatch by the Warehouse Team
- Planning and releasing shipments to be delivered by the Moove Transport team (Moove fleet)
- Multi day routing for Moove Fleet covering all UK destinations
- Documenting and planning returned shipments of damaged, defective or unsold products to the Gravesend Site for processing
- Day to day management of hauliers and shipping partners to ensure service to customers, working to customer expectation and within carriage law regulations
- Preparing and printing shipping documents corresponding to shipping needs (Domestic and international)
- Examining and verifying that outgoing shipment paperwork for domestic and international shipping meets specifications and adheres to current legislation
- Maintaining all computerised shipping and distribution records and compiling reports for internal stakeholders
- Continuous improvement and development of efficiencies of vehicle utilisation and 3PL
- 3PL Claims management
- Manage and oversee customer deliveries for the Exxon Mobil Buy Back account for bulk and pack. Processing of orders into SAP
- Weekly and monthly review of Buyback report, Teams meeting with Exxon Mobil – daily review of orders on ACE interface, following up with Supply team where needed
Skills required of our Shipping Clerk:

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Strong MS Excel Skills, specifically Pivot tables and charts, V and X Lookups, formulas and Macros and database creation, sorting and analysing

Experience of UK Domestic and Global Shipping in a manufacturing and freight forwarding environment

Familiar with INCOTERMS (ICC 2010 rules)

Experience of scheduling multiple vehicles, daily and weekly

Highly desirable:
- Background in transport planning
- Background in Freight Forwarding
- Qualifications in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain
- People Management experience
