Ecology Consultant Role Overview
In the role of Ecology Consultant, you will conduct thorough surveys to identify and protect legally safeguarded species, as well as create detailed ecological reports. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential as you engage with clients, specialists, contractors, and the community, fostering and maintaining robust professional relationships both within the organisation and with external partners.

Ecology Consultant Qualifications
- A BSc or higher in a relevant field is essential
- A full UK driving licence is required
- Significant relevant experience is necessary
- Proficiency in ecological field skills related to various protected species and habitats
- Knowledge of ecology and nature conservation legislation
- Experience in writing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
- Membership in CIEEM
- Possession of protected species licenses
- Drive to work towards FISC (Level 3)
