JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

C4S Search are pleased to be working with a marketing leading electronical manufacturing company who manufacture advanced devices that help track precise location and movement.
THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY:
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of product design, from feasibility to production, with a primary focus on developing and testing our firmware. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in validating and verifying firmware to meet customer requirements.
You will influence the design and testing processes within the team and collaborate with other departments to ensure that all firmware development meets high-quality standards and is well-documented. Knowledge of both digital and analog electronics is required for this position.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
- Extensive experience with C/C++ in real-time embedded systems, including multi-threaded design, advanced debugging techniques, and common communication protocols.
- Proven experience in testing firmware for low to medium volume production, encompassing both unit and system-level test planning and execution.
- Participation in or management of code quality processes, such as code reviews, version control, and formal release procedures.
- Expertise in schematic capture, PCB design, and layout.
- Proficiency in analyzing hardware/firmware interaction issues.
- Strong ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Some experience with mechanical design is a plus.
