Temporary Assistant Credit Controller - £14.00 per hour - Hybrid
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a flexible, ongoing temporary position? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic finance team based in Hove with hybrid working options available.
About the Role:
As a Temporary Assistant Credit Controller, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the Credit Control Department. Reporting to the Credit Controller and Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Collecting payments of outstanding balances
Chasing overdue accounts and invoices via telephone and email
Managing the automatic email reminder process
Reviewing card payment expiry dates and informing clients
Liaising with the Credit Controller on clients needing referral to our Debt Collection Co.
Handling customer invoice queries and liaising with colleagues to resolve issues promptly
Maintaining and updating account information
Providing cover for the Credit Controller during holidays and absences
General accounts and administration duties using Xero, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Credit Control experience, ideally in a high-volume role
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work proactively and obtain necessary information
Experience with Xero is desirable
Strong numeracy, Excel, and administration skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer service focus and problem-solving attitude
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
