Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Schools across Kent (Primary and Secondary)

Role: Monday to Friday (Full-time, long term in the same school)

Hours: 08:30 am - 15:30 pm

Day rates: £85-90 per day (DOE)

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. You'll work closely with teachers, students, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson materials and activities.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help students develop essential life skills and independence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Experience working with children or young adults (volunteer work or internships count).
  • A passion for wanting to work within the education sector.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not crucial.
