Senior Planner

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a national Planning Consultancy on the hire of a Senior Town Planner for their team in Nottingham. This is a full-time and permanent position.

The Nottingham office works throughout the Midlands on a wide range of projects for public sector, private and community clients and across all sectors. The team also work flexibly with colleagues at other offices on projects right across the country.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to continue your career in Planning and work across the spectrum of town planning activities including; the promotion of large-scale development projects; the preparation and submission of planning applications; appeals for a range of development types; and local plan representations.

As a Senior Planner in the private sector and you will be exposed to a range of tasks, as well as CPD training opportunities to develop you as a professional. There is an established staff mentoring system to help guide your professional and personal development.

Qualifications and Experience

Our client is looking to speak with Senior Planners with either private or public sector experience at Planner/Senior Planner level. Candidates should be educated to undergraduate level (2:1 or above) and should also obtained a postgraduate qualification in Planning.

The successful candidate will be a positive, proactive individual with the drive to meet client expectations and promote the business. You will be expected to possess good analytical, presentation and written skills, together with a proven ability to manage your time effectively.

Ideally you will have already obtained chartered membership of the RTPI. Our client will however consider candidates who are still working towards accreditation and full support and sponsorship. A full driving licence is essential.
