Are you an up and coming Health & Safety professional with NEBOSH / IOSH qualifications? Pertemps are seeking an ambitious Trainee Health & Safety Advisor who wants to make an impact in H&S.

About the Role:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of precious metals based in Birmingham and are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to ensure that operations remain compliant with health and safety regulations. This is a primarily desk-based role that requires exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programmes. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest safety standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Write, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance, maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Accident and incident investigation and near misses.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programmes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility will be required as there may be occasional weekend shifts or travel to the site based in London.
