Position Overview:
Howard Finley Care are looking for an experienced and caring Senior Care Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, assisting with their daily needs, and ensuring their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred care and support to residents, promoting independence and well-being.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed procedures and training.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
- Support and supervise junior care assistants, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in care planning and review meetings to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Details:
- 12-hour shifts
- Alternative weekend working
- Night shifts
- £14 per hour
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Medication training and experience in administering medication.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and flexible with a strong commitment to providing quality care.
