The London Fire Brigade is recruiting for a Breathing Apparatus Stores Assistant, based in their Operations Support Centre in Croydon. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective and efficient issue, receipt, and administration of risk-critical safety equipment for firefighters. You will be part of a dedicated team, utilising computerised systems to manage and maintain essential gear.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage daily stock issues and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct cyclical stock taking to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Generate internal and external purchase orders.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with computerised office systems.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
