Commercial Marketing Analyst

Axon Moore are working with a well-known and growing business based in North Manchester, to appoint a Commercial Marketing Analyst to join the Marketing team. You will be required to use a range of tools such as Google Analytics, SQL and Python to analyse the return and effectiveness of advertising platforms and help to make sure they are effective.

We require an analyst with around 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally from a marketing background, although this can person can adjust if not. There will be opportunities to progress and enhance your skill set through the CIMA qualification. This is a very collaborative work, working with different departments and you will be involved in assisting with decision making.

Salary and benefits:

Salary - £32,000 DOE plus CIMA study support if required. 15% performance based bonus, hybrid working 2 days from home, 33 days holidays including flexible bank holidays, pension, free parking, health cash plan, regular company socials and newly refurbished offices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily and weekly reporting on performance vs. KPIs and budget/YOY.
  • Analysis and making recommendations on reporting and to drive business growth.
  • Reporting weekly marketing spends to the finance department
  • Working closely with online acquisition team to develop return on investment (ROI) reports at keyword, campaign and ad group level.
  • Working closely with CRM team to develop ROI reports at mailing name, mailing category, time of day and customer segmentation level.
  • Working closely with Offline Media team to report on TV, Radio and Sponsorship performance.
  • Assisting all areas of the marketing department with test and trials, ensuring that all tests are measurable and analysing to ROI level.
  • Reporting on regions for market share and making recommendations for improvement.

Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in an Analytical role
  • Highly numerate with Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SQL is essential, experience with Google Analytics and Python would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of Big Query.
  • Able to liaise with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to work as a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Proactive, well organised and good attention to detail
