Description
Accounts Payable Manager:
- Directing day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department
- Line managing and developing 6 AP Assistants
- Ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
- Maintaining accurate records and control reports
- Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information
- Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Participating in ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Leading and mentoring the accounts payable team
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
- A strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Previous experience in leadership and team management role
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong IT skills, particularly in finance systems and MS Excel
