Your Role

The Sales Manager serves as a liaison between ADM Milling and our existing and prospect customers, with their main focus being to provide excellent customer service to accounts within a set geography to ensure that volumes are grown whilst margins are enhanced. The core geography of this role is Scotland, but other project related work might be required across the UK and Ireland.

Your Responsibilities

  • To serve as the main point of contact for assigned trading and prospect accounts, plus the internal contact for logistical and operational challenges linked to those accounts.
  • Maintain & grow account contribution and volume KPIs in line with wider company goals.
  • Identifying prospect opportunities within the set geography and sector.
  • Contacting and qualifying prospect opportunities.
  • Understanding customer requirements and presenting ADM Milling solutions.
  • Liaise with Trading Dept. to keep updated on wheat & energy markets to enable customer information share.
  • Negotiating and closing contracts/sales with prospect and existing customers.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and demonstrate after sales care.
  • Develop customer relationships by conducting field based meetings and visits.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, utilising Salesforce CRM system, for customer and prospecting activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Credit Control to ensure customers adhere to agreed terms and prospects are risk.
  • Promote benefits and increase registrations to ADM e-commerce facility 4flour.
  • Report back on competitor and market intelligence.
  • Work with commercial representatives from other ADM business units within the UK to deliver 1ADM solutions to key strategic accounts and convey 1ADM Added Value proposition to key contract customers.
  • In-trade brand support for RTM partner distributors offering the ADM range.
  • Work in concert with Technical Support Manager to convert prospect accounts and enhance profitability by promoting grist changes etc. in line with Trading Dept. purchase strategy.

  • Degree in Business Studies or similar
  • Current driving licence
