Logistics Supervisor/Manager

£32,000 - £36,000 per annum
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor/Manager to oversee and optimize our clients logistics operations. This role is critical in replacing a long-serving team member who is set to retire. The role has been redefined to meet the evolving needs of their business, and we are looking for a candidate who can step in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of goods.
- Lead, train, and develop the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify and implement improvements in logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Work closely with suppliers to manage inbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Hands on assistance within warehousing and stores area's when required
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics such as delivery times, costs, and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, with a track record of successful management or supervisory roles.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including inventory management, supplier coordination, and process improvement.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
