About the Role:

Protiviti, the global management consultancy, are seeking a highly skilled Interim FP&A Process Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance sector to join their global insurance client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analysing, streamlining, and optimising our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, ensuring greater efficiency, accuracy, and insight within our financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a well-established insurance organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse current FP&A processes, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement robust financial models, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Operations, to gather data and insights.
  • Lead the development of process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support financial planning and reporting.
  • Drive the automation of financial reporting and analysis, leveraging technology and software tools.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls specific to the insurance sector.
  • Provide training and support to finance teams on new processes and systems to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations, reports, and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an FP&A Process Analyst, or similar role within the insurance industry.
  • Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of insurance financial processes, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting. Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in process analysis, design, and implementation, particularly in a financial planning context.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
