Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative looking for a new challenge with a successful and growing business?
We are looking for a Senior Grounds Maintenance Operative who lives in the North Leeds area to join a small team. General duties will involve carrying out grass cutting, weed control, hedge pruning, border maintenance, leaf clearance, winter gritting, litter picking, and landscape clearance as required.
As the senior operative on the team, you will support the Director of the business to ensure that customer sites across Yorkshire are maintained to a high standard to ensure repeat and continued business.
Details:
- Permanent / Full-time
- £12.50-£14.50 per hour (equiv. to £26k-£30k per annum based on experience)
- Mon-Fri / 8am-4pm
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays – to increase with length of service
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all sites and external grounds are maintained to an exceptionally high and reputable standard
- General ground maintenance duties using horticultural machinery such as powered mowers, strimmers and hand tools.
- Landscape improvement duties to enhance sites.
- Additional duties dependant on client site.
Experience and Skills needed:
- Previous experience in grounds / garden maintenance
- Good communication skills and committed to the best customer service
- A passion for Horticulture/Gardening
- Valid UK Driving licence
- PA1 & PA6 spraying license (preferred)
- Be able to confidently use mobile phone technology to record work activity.
- Have high standards and strong work ethic
