Solid Recruitment Solutions are proud to be working with a leading water management solution engineering company who are recruiting for a Water Leakage Detection Technician for, leak detection, water audits and meter readings.

The position is to be based close to Northampton (ideally candidates need to be situated within a 20 minute drive of this location). The position will be to over Oxford/Reading and Guildford area.

Package for the Water Leakage Technician:

  • Salary - £28,370 per annum DOE - Overtime 1.5 x over 40 hours - 2 x weekends and BH
  • Hours - 40 hours per week - Calculated Door to Door
  • Annual leave - 22 days plus all bank and public holidays (increases to 24 days after 3 years' service and 27 days after 5 years' service)

The position will require travel to customers' sites along with some overnight stay where required; usually a couple of times a month.

Position Summary:

The Water Leakage Technician's primary function is to undertake the leak detection, water audit and AMR works assigned to them within the organisation. This includes the performance of works, management of assets to undertake works and associated administration as required by the company.

We are looking for candidate with experience in water leakage detection and the company will provide training in Water Auditing and AMR work.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous water leakage technician experience is essential - Minimum 3 years experience.
  • Driving licence - Full UK clean
  • Happy to travel and with occasional overnight stays
  • Good IT skills to complete reporting and input water audit and reporting information to company system
  • Highly organised
  • Professional
  • An ability to be able to work independently with self motivation and self management
  • Ideally working knowledge of AMR products
  • Due to insurance purposes candidates must be 25 years +

Responsibilities:

  • Visual site based assessment including a range of practical flow and usage tests identifying high consumption and suggesting methods to reduce consumption.
  • Completion of audit reports as per company requirements.
  • Training of others as required.
  • AMR (where training has been provided).
  • Use of the suite of AMR products utilised by the company
  • Completion of the physical installation of a range of AMR products and where appropriate minor installations of associate products such as meters.
  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the above as the need arises and training permits.
  • Use of a range of leak detection survey equipment
  • Completion of leak detection reports to a standard acceptable by the Operations Manager/Operations Director enabling further leak repair works.
