Procurement Manager - Telecommunications

We are looking for a strategic procurement professional who has a strong grounding in telecommunications procurement or IT procurement to join a high growth telecommunications organisation. This critical role will drive sourcing and contract management efforts to support the growth and efficiency of the organisation's telecommunications network.

Role Summary:

In this role, you will oversee a team of Procurement Specialists, focusing on sourcing and managing contracts for services that support our expanding network. You will play a key role in developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal commercial and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Procurement Specialists to handle sourcing and contract management for network operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders, including the executive team and department heads.
  • Achieve challenging savings targets through robust prospect management and direct involvement in strategic opportunities.
  • Present category strategy reviews to senior stakeholders, aligning them with company goals.
  • Collaborate with finance leads to create budgets, review financial performance, and set savings targets.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, enhancing value and performance through effective KPI management and reviews.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms and lead major contract changes to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing procurement teams and processes in a dynamic environment.
  • Extensive background in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management of goods, equipment, and services.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to adapt and improve processes in a changing environment.
