Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a high-volume packaging manufacturer to recruit a Production Manager for their facility based in Rotherham.
Working closely with the Production and Engineering Director, the Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring production targets and factory standards are met.
Our client is looking for a Production Manager with effective communication and people management skills as well as process control experience within a manufacturing environment.
Duties of the Production Manager will include:
- Implementing and driving improvement initiatives
- Supporting the Hot End Foreman with recruitment and resource management
- Ensure the supervisory team follows all procedures related to machine operating and factory safety procedures
- Managing full budget for the Hot End and identify cost savings
- Liaise with on-site contractors
- Monitor and log bottle faults daily and update on all production issues
- Producing and analysing monthly reports
To be successful in the role of Production Manager, you must have glass manufacturing experience and be IS Machine Operator trained, as well as the following skills:
- Experience managing a large team in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Mould design experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience managing departmental budgets
- IT literate with experience using ERP systems
