Our client, a leading organisation based within the South-West, is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Manager, to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the organisation's Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records.
The responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable Ledger and team.
- Ensure timely collection of customer debts and manage problematic accounts.
- Monitor and report on aged debtors, unallocated cash, bad debts, and overdue debts.
- Address sales ledger and sales order queries by coordinating with internal teams and customers.
- Assist with internal and external audits concerning Accounts Receivable.
- Manage the Accounts Payable Ledger and team operations.
- Ensure supplier invoices are processed and paid on time according to agreed terms.
- Track and report on aged creditors, stock/services not invoiced, open ledger items, and purchase order errors.
- Review priority payments.
- Assist in month-end close processes, act as a liaison with the Finance/General Ledger, and maintain and improve standard processes across the company.
The candidate:
- Proven accounts receivable and payable experience, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with external customers and various internal departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating motivation and good organisational skills.
- Desirable qualifications and skills include an AAT qualification, familiarity with SQL/Power Query, and experience with ERP systems.
