Governance Administrator Part Time

We have a fantastic new opportunity to join our dedicated Governance Team as a Governance Administrator on a Fixed Term basis until December 2024.

This is a Part Time, on-siterole based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, working 22.5 hours. The working week will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and we can be slightly flexible on the hours, but ideally 9am to 5pm would be the preference.

You will provide essential administrative, secretarial, and organisational support. You'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely signing and sealing of documents, working closely with the Governance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the signing and sealing process by checking and preparing legal documents execution and arranging signatures as appropriate.
  • Arranging meetings as required with refreshments and room bookings and setting and clearing up the meeting room after use, including supporting the team to arrange and hold Sovereign's Annual General Meeting.
  • Raising purchase order requisitions and receipting the goods.
  • Coordinating incoming correspondence, dealing with routine and non-routine issues.
  • Taking messages, dealing with enquiries appropriately and ensuring accurate and timely communication of messages.
  • Using the internet/intranet and other sources of information in obtaining and compiling information for the Governance Team.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Governance Team.

What we need from you

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism is crucial for this role. The successful applicant will have previous administration experience and would be advantageous if you have worked within a similar role or have a keen interest in Governance or the Legal sector.
