Management Accountant

We are looking for a fully qualified Accountant to take on the role of Management Accountant within our corporate company based in Guildford. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the chance to be part of a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their accounting expertise to conduct financial analysis, prepare financial reports, and develop strategies based on financial research.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and financial statements.
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
- Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure financial management is in accordance with statutory regulations.
- Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advise on ways of improving business performance.
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers.
- Liaise with managerial staff and other colleagues.
- Undertake financial analysis and reporting, and assist with year-end audits.
- Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
- Develop strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in presenting financial data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
