Management Accountant

A London market underwriting business is recruiting for a Management Accountant following an internal promotion.

Joining an established finance team, the successful applicant will support the cost management function of the Finance department through the development and production of high-quality expense reports and support the monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of management, statutory and regulatory reports.

More specifically this will include the production of monthly and quarterly expense reporting and variance analysis, production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts of expenses, General Ledger review, preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory returns and liaising with external auditors as required and financial reviews of potential new brokers to determine financial strength and credit worthiness.

Applicants will ideally be qualified accountants and must have relevant previous experience gained working for an insurance business e.g. Underwriter, insurance broke, MGA etc. possess strong excel skills and a working knowledge of UK & US GAAP.
