This role has a starting salary of £32,512 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality Assurance Team in Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships.

The Quality Assurance Team evaluate the quality of care and support services in Surrey. We work with care and support providers to improve quality, improve the experience of people using care services and promote and share best practice.

The position is based in Mid Surrey covering Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell and Elmbridge, working under an Area Quality Assurance Manager covering services for older people - nursing homes, residential care homes and home-based care services.

About the Team

The Quality Assurance Team is a well established and well regarded Team in Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships. We have strong links with internal colleagues as well as our external partners in Health and CQC.

About the Role

Working with the area Quality Assurance Manager, you will collect and analyse data and information about quality and risk in older persons care and support services within the area, identifying priorities. You will:

  • Undertake visits to Care Homes and Home Based Care Agencies producing reports following the visits.
  • Gather and analyses data and information about quality and risk of the services in the patch.
  • Plan and prioritise your own work and activities, responding to changing priorities as needed.
  • Maintain a network of up to date Provider contacts.
  • Partake in a rota system to cover the Quality Assurance Team inbox.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Be a driver with a valid UK driving licence and own car and be prepared to drive across the County to support the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours when Care Homes are identified as high risk.
  • Experience of working in a front line care or support setting for adults.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
