We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Wellingborough. This is a permanent position starting in September 2024, offering the opportunity to contribute to a thriving drama department and enrich the lives of students up to KS4.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons that inspire and challenge students up to KS4.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters creativity and learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching best practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events.
- Ensure the safeguarding of all students in the classroom.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Previous experience teaching Drama in UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging and challenging lessons.
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
