Finance Officer/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Officer/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, be detail-oriented, and have the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Day to day of the role:

  • Monitor daily bank account receipts and coordinate with the accountant for specific schemes/clients.
  • Identify and alert the relevant team about low funds in any client account across all schemes.
  • Prepare and issue ad hoc invoices for contributions and administration fees, following instructions from the teams or directors.
  • Diligently follow up and chase outstanding invoices as per the schedule set by the teams or directors.
  • Process accounts payable invoices for all schemes and assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Ensure all financial records are accurate, up to date, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting, with a preference for experience in the healthcare/insurance sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.
