SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT
£12.09-£13.50 PER HOUR
AGENCY CONTRACT WORK, FLEXIBLE HOURS

We are looking to employ Teaching Assistants in the Newcastle and Wallsend areas for the start of the new term September 2024. The role itself involves supporting students in class to provide a support network. Many of students require support for various reasons such as Special Needs (SEN) or general behavioural/social anxiety and confidence. A few key things regarding these positions:
- The roles vary between 16-32 hours per week, working hours are usually between 9am and 3:30pm Monday-Friday. We are open to discussing your personal requirements, but you must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week across 3 days to be considered for these positions.
- The roles are contracted and not permanent, therefore I wouldn't advise enquiring if you are already currently in a permanent job role
- Experience working within Colleges or Education setting isn't a requirement (although very beneficial), and neither is specific qualifications relating to the role. We do however request that you have Experience in working with individuals who have Special Needs requirements (SEND) and/or experience working with challenging behaviour (SEMH) . Some perfect examples might be people that come from a care/residential background, carry out volunteer work at local charities, experience working in roles that focuses heavily on engaging with the youth/young adults in a supportive way
