Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 + training and development + overtime available + benefits
As a Carpenter, this role will cover the maintenance, repair, and installation of internal and external doors and frames (including fire doors), timber partitioning/dry lining, first and second fix carpentry, as well as fire prevention work, including door collars and partitioning.
What you'll be doing
As a Carpenter, your main accountabilities will be as follows:
- Utilise trade skills to execute scheduled, planned, and reactive maintenance tasks, either proactively or as instructed.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, including:
- Internal and external doors and frames (including fire doors)
- Timber partitioning and dry lining
- First and second fix carpentry
- Fire prevention work (such as door collars and partitioning)
- To manage workload using PDA handheld device.
- To meet Health & Safety responsibilities by complying with the Company's Health & Safety Policy and management plans.
Who we're looking for in a Carpenter
- Multi skilled trade experience
- Approved and formal apprenticeship served in relevant City & Guilds Trade Craft
- Previous experience in building repairs and maintenance
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures
- Full, clean driving license is essential
- Desirable if you have experience using Maximo or similar asset management software system.
