Finance Assistant
Media Agency | London Bridge | 25-30k | Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
A global, successful and rapidly expanding media agency are in search of a confident finance assistant to join their dynamic team of 5.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of foreign currency invoices whilst supporting both a well established MA and FC.
With full study support on offer, this is a great role for a growing finance assistant looking to take on a bit more responsibility or a graduate/school leave looking for their first step in accounts.
Responsibilities - Finance Assistant
- Process and manage vendor invoices across multiple currencies in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that foreign currency transactions are correctly recorded in the accounting system.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies, including foreign exchange differences.
- Manage the payment run process, ensuring that international payments are made in accordance with company policy.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including foreign currency revaluations.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any AP-related issues.
- Monitor exchange rates and ensure proper documentation for currency conversions and hedging strategies.
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks related to accounts payable and foreign currency transactions.
The Person - Finance Assistant
- Proactive & confident approach with the ability to communicate with staff at all seniority levels
- Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
- Experience in a similar role or a strong understanding of accounting from a University degree, AAT or A-Levels
- Good Excel skills
